Who is Accident Compensation Advice??
We are an independant company who specialise in helping people claim for their injury compensation. We offer impartial advice on making a claim and let YOU decide who YOU want to run your claim.
How does Accident Compensation Advice differ from other companies?
The basis of our business is honesty. We believe in offering honest advice regarding your claim and will even point out your options with other methods of claiming. We also believe in making ourselves available to our clients 24 hours a day in cases of emergency or just for advice.
Will I be able to speak to someone who knows what they are talking about straight away?
Yes, your call will always be taken by someone who is vastly experienced in injury compensation procedures, we do not operate an outside call centre and all calls made to our offices "out of hours" are forwarded to one of the directors of the company who can give expert advice.
Will I be able to deal with just one person throughout my claim?
Yes, usually, the person who "opens" your claim will be the claims manager throughout the whole claim process. You will also be given their mobile telephone number which is active 24 hours a day.
Is this a genuine NO WIN NO FEE situation?
Yes, we take the risk on the whole claim and if your claim fails or we lose, we pay the costs, not you.
Do I have to see a solicitor?
No, our aim is to make the process as easy for you as possible and to cause minimum disruption to you during the claim process.
Will I have to take out an insurance policy?
No, the total cost of your claim is covered by ACA. We don't believe in making clients responsible for any insurance policies that cover costs. It is our responsibility to make sure that we win your case and claim the maximum settlement possible. We also believe that companies who get paid from insurance based claims may lose the incentive to fight the case if things don't go their way because they will get paid regardless of the outcome.
Will I be made responsible for a loan agreement or finance arrangement?
No, the total cost of your claim is covered by ACA. We don't believe in making clients responsible for any costs.
What is it going to cost me?
. There are no hidden charges or costs. You keep 100% of your claim. Guaranteed!!!
This all sounds too good to be true. How does ACA make their money?
CMC's involvement is classified as a disbursement and therefore can be added to the claim to be recovered from the third party insurers
Are there complicated forms to fill in?
No, You complete some basic information on line which is sent via a secure server and your ACA representative will contact you to gather further information.
Will I need to sign any long winded contracts with lots of clauses and small print?
No, our agreement is very simple to understand and explains everything in laymans terms. We have no "small print" documentation and the form is printed on one side of A4 size paper.
Where is the catch?
There is no catch. If your claim is unsuccessful, you pay nothing.
I have heard that other companies don't take any fees from compensation and that they will claim back any insurance or loan agreements that I have to take out. Is this true?
Nobody does something for nothing. We are all in business to make profits and earn a living. In the vast majority of cases, insurance premiums and loan agreements are NOT recoverable under the "Access to Justice Bill" that was recently passed through parliament, and only a reasonable insurance fee MAY be recovered as a disbursement. So, any finance arrangements will be immediately deducted from your settlement before you receive any payments.(See the BBC Watchdog report on CLAIMS DIRECT and THE ACCIDENT GROUP for an example).
I saw a program on TV that a company like yours was almost bullying people into making claims even after they said that they didn't want to, I don't want to be harrassed if I decide not to use your services.
Unlike some of our competitors, we do not have huge overheads and even though we would always question why you prefer not to use our services, it is not in our interests to use bully boy tactics in persuading clients to claim.
What do I do next?
Call us 01603 618700 and one of our representatives will explain how we operate and explain other options avaiable to you on how you might go about making an injury claim.
How much compensation will I get?
The short answer is that it's impossible to say. Every claim is different from the next just as one person's lifstyle is different from the next. The general rule of thumb is that any degree of "pain and suffering" that lasts for six weeks or more is worth at least £1000 . Thereafter it depends on the length of recuperation and any other expenses that may have been incurred.
If I make a claim against my employers will I lose my job.
This is a concern for many people who have had accidents at work.
If an employer is found to be negligent and you were injured as result, then you cannot be dismissed from their employment. If you are then your employers are at risk from action against them under the "unfair Dismissals " law.
Regardless to the extent of your injuries we strongly advise you to contact us. An injury that may not be particularly painful at the moment could escalate in the future.
Will I have to go to court?
Occasionally if the sum cannot be agreed upon, or if defendant denies liability, your solicitor may have to go to court to fight for your compensation. However, iIt's a fact that less that 1% of cases ever proceed to trial.
Who pays the compensation?
Most defendants are insured and their insurance company will pay the compensation in full. In the rare occurences that motorists are uninsured then a claim can be made through the Motor Insurers Bureau who will appoint an Insurance Company to deal with the claim.
Passenger in someone else's Car:
If you were involved in an accident in someone else’s car and it was there fault why the accident happened you are still able to claim for compensation. The drivers insurance will not go up anymore if you put a claim against them.
For instance:
If you were the driver and had an accident due to your own mistake and you had four other people in the car who received whiplash injuries, they could all claim for compensation for injuries occurred and it would not affect you insurance premium. Your insurance would only go up for the accident and not for other people who are claiming for the accident. These costs are paid by the insurance company. As the driver you would not be able to claim compensation as the accident was your fault.
If you were involved in an accident due to another drivers error, yourself and any other passengers are all eligible to claim for compensation.
